Living LOHAS© 3 Analysis Complete

The Living LOHAS© 3 analysis phase is complete and report write-up is underway.

This year, the team has completely re-written the report from the ground up, and has taken a 3 year perspective, comparing and contrasting Australian consumers' perceptions of health, wellbeing and sustainability issues and impacts on their lives since 2007.

Of particular interest has been movement in Australians' concern about climate change which, on the surface, appears to have been slipping. Detailed analysis contained in the report shows that whilst some of the community is expressing lower levels of concern about climate change as a broad issue, their concern about issues likely to be exacerbated by climate change, such as water shortages and extreme weather events (bush fires, floods, storms) remains strong.

This finding provides a timely reminder to governments as climate talks in Copenhagen kick off in December this year.

Living LOHAS© 3, which contains detailed findings on these and other health and sustainability issues, is to be published in November 2009.
